THE JADE BOX OF BAO

This small box has is made from jade with ornamental flowers on the lid. The box a six inch square, and has a height of three inches. It is said that Bao placed an important love token in this box for safe-keeping and this gave it special protective properties. According to legend, any item placed inside the box does not age, rot, or suffer harm. Even if the box is placed in a fire, or at the bottom of the ocean, no harm comes to the object inside. It is even possible to preserve small insects or animals using its powers.
