Just wanted to let folks know we are on track with Wandering Heroes of Ogre Gate (we are just in the final review stages before putting it into layout to make sure there are no errors). In the mean time, I want to share some previews of the setting maps.
This is a low-resolution version of Robert Conley's hex map of the campaign setting: Qi Xien
The hexes on this map are 30 miles each, and this just serves to give a broad overview of the most important region. There will also be a map of a place called The Banyan. This is a kind of frontier and is the focus of the Gazetteer chapter in the rulebook (we will release PDFs dealing with all the other areas on this world map). Most of the Martial Sects have retreated into the Banyan and so it is an ideal place for campaigns to begin. It is a region that embodies the Jianghu and Wulin.
All of the campaign maps are hex based, because Wandering Heroes emphasizes exploration as an important aspect of play. However, we took a different approach with our dungeons and our world cosmology map.
Here you can see Michael Prescott's cosmology map, which illustrates the nature of the world and provides a much bigger view of the main continent (again, this is a low resolution version):
Michael Prescott also made a number of location maps, for dungeons and things of that nature. This is the Tomb of the Timeless Master, our big example for the Wuxia Dungeon:
The Tomb of the Timeless Master is the largest dungeon-like map in the book by far. The other maps of this type will be Temples and Caverns such as important Sect Headquarters.
These are just some of the things people can expect to see in Wandering Heroes of Ogre Gate when it comes out.
