THE DIALOGUES OF SHAN JI
Shan Ji was believed to be one of Sun Mai's disciples and the Dialogues of Shan Ji are are discussion about the nature of reality and the perfect realm, addressing points made in Sun Mai's 12 scriptures. The dialogues themselves are not regarded as one of his scriptures but simply as commentary. However toward the end, Shan Ji grows fearful the world will not understand the scriptures one day, that their meaning will be lost over time even if the text themselves are preserved because, according to Shan Ji, they require living explanation and experience under a skilled teacher. He asks Sun Mai what will be done then and Sun Mai says: They should come to Chrysanthemum Lake where I still sit and speak with the moon.
This passage puzzled many for ages. But 100 years ago, a scholar from Xuanlu had an idea. He sent men into the waters of Chrysanthemum Lake, as deep as they could go, and unearthed a bronze statue of Sun Mai. When he saw the statue (see below), it puzzled him, but he came to believe that it indicated there was in fact a hidden, 13th scripture, somewhere. Over time his belief spread, but the statue was lost somewhere in Chen, and no one knows where it ended up.
BRONZE STATUE OF SUN MAI AT CHRYSANTHEMUM LAKE
This is an ancient hollow bronze statue of Sun Mai, that depicts him soon after he cut his hair at Chrysanthemum Lake. He has twelve bamboo scrolls bundled in his arms, and a single bamboo scroll hidden beneath his foot. His head is shaved, and there are many tiny holes to emulate the effect of stubble. But if one looks closely these holes are make odd patterns, are not always circular (some are square or even elongated). Perhaps even more strange are the reflective metal and gemstone that coats the interior of the statue. If one takes the statue to Chrysanthemum Lake and positions him to look north east to the rising moon, as the hours pass the light of the moon, shines through his stubble and reflects outward from his mouth, projecting Feishu characters on his scroll bundle, which shift with each passing hour. In the hour of the Bixie, one can see the characters for Scripture Thirteen. Over the next four hours, the four characters meaning "The Four Corners" appear.
THE ANSWER
There is indeed a thirteenth scripture, but it is divided into four individual scrolls and scattered at the 4 corners of the continent (where each scroll is hidden and protected). Sun Mai believed the scrolls to be too dangerous. So he hid them.

THE BAO OF BAO
This looks like a blue perfumed satchel embroidered with silken phoenixes and stars. It is hundreds of years old, and according to legend, belonged to Bao herself, which she gave as a love token to a man named Geng Long. Despite its age, it appears new and gives off a pleasant aroma. The stories say that he betrayed her, leaving her in the hands of criminals. The hatred she nurtured toward him, bestowed the satchel with unusual properties.
When given as a token of love or friendship, it cannot be removed. If the person wearing the Bao of Bao ever betrays the person who gave it to them, it releases a powerful scent that is pleasant but also causes deadly choking. The wearer must make an Endurance roll TN 8 every round. On a Success they cannot breathe, feel fear and desperation, but survive. On a Total Success they do not have to make an Endurance roll for another ten minutes. On a Failure they fall unconscious and begin to die. Dying cannot be stopped by normal means, and takes a number of days equal to Hardiness. During this time the wearer can see and hear, but cannot breathe, speak, move or act. It is an unbearable state of discomfort and it only ends with death.

BONE SLICER AMOR
This is the armor of the infamous Bone Slicers who served the Demon Emperor under the Bone General. Most look are iron lamellar with ivory ornaments signifying rank. The Iron Plates of the Lamellar were created in a process that blends Ogre Blood in during the smelting. They function much like normal armor of their kind with two important difference. The first is they do not impose any penalty to Speed. The second is they work against Kung Fu Techniques and other Qi-driven abilities. Against Blunt and Sharp Objects they impose a -2d10 to Damage Rolls. Against Qi Blasts, they impose a -3d10 to Damage.
SCROLL OF THE DEMON CATS
This Scroll comes in a wooden case with images of terrifying beasts carved on its surface. The scroll itself also contains such imagery and when unfurled, can release a storm of Cat Demons. This power can be used once per month. When unfurled the scroll releases 1d10 Cat Demons every round until a total of 50 have been released. They attack in a frenzied state but must return to the scroll within an hour.
CAT DEMONS OF THE SCROLL
Cat Demons of the Scroll resemble skinned cats with glowing green eyes. Their slender bodies are twisted and pained by their condition. They are very aggressive with an enormous appetite for human flesh. As they consume such meat, their own skin and fur regrows and reduces their own pain (for a time).
Consume Flesh: Cat Demons of the Scroll consume flesh, doing 4d10 Open Damage. Every wound they inflict restores their own health and regrows their hair and skin. However each day they go without eating human meat, they lose a Wound.
